PARISIAN CHARM ON THE EDGE OF THE MARAIS

Located in the Marais near the Seine, this little gem is classified as a Historic Monument, established in a colorful old Belle Epoque bakery.

A warm, friendly cocoon refurbished by decorator Gérard Cholot. The artist has managed to preserve the charm of yesteryear: old tiles, stained-glass ceiling, velvet upholstery, crystal chandeliers and an Empire bar, while adding his personal style, and a touch of humor: upstairs, a striped anteroom and small discreet lounge… the perfect hiding place for private dinners.

All around, tree-lined and sunny terraces offer a front-row view of the majestic Saint-Gervais Church and Ile Saint-Louis.

(A staple for lovers of old Paris, Chez Julien also attracts demanding Parisian clientele. Couture houses compete for tables during Fashion Week making it the most glamorous showcase in the capital).

AN AUTHENTIC CUISINE INTERPRETED BY CHEF HELMI DERBAL

Formerly of Carpe Diem and La Truffe Noire, Helmi Derbal is feted for his meticulous choices and fine cuisine prepared using only the finest produce.

His dishes are generously prepared according to the seasons, with his signature, expert mastery of the truffle in all of its magnificent guises: pearls on sliced veal tartare, strung on homemade foie gras, in a Chateaubriand, or grated over a risotto.

THE ELEGANCE OF LARGE PARISIAN TERRACES

With terraces on all sides, the restaurant offers three different atmospheres in the first days of spring.

On the Rue des Barres side, on a cobbled pedestrian lane which leads to the Saint-Gervais Church, there are large plateaus nestled between lush green planters of olive trees, palm trees, jasmine and bamboo.

Along the listed facade of the restaurant, a veranda, with red carpet on the floor, shelters tables during winter and summer. And at the front, spanning the restaurant and exposed to the summer sun, the Pont Louis-Philippe and Ile Saint-Louis can be admired.

PRIVATE SPACE

A small, discreet lounge provides a private space.

Out of sight, on the first floor of the restaurant, our large table can accommodate up to 20 people. In soft, plush splendor, lit by candles and upholstered in velvet, guests can receive specially dedicated service and attention.

An intercom ensures a permanent link with the staff and you can listen to the music of your choice via a connected, private Bose audio system.

Somewhat hidden, somewhat secret, the small lounge at Chez Julien is ideal for a quiet lunch or dinner, a discreet conversation, or on the contrary, a joyful celebration of a special event with family or friends.
